Note: Attending the field training lab is only the second part of the training requirement for Florida home inspectors. Students must first go through the PHII Home Inspector Interactive Online Course.
Our labs include a live, hands-on property inspection and time working on home inspection reports. The 20-hour home inspection lab is a requirement for Professional Home Inspection Institute student home inspectors in FL. After completing the Basic Course, Advanced Course, and the 20-hour lab, home inspectors are required to pass a criminal background check, pay the licensing fees to the state, and pass a state exam for home inspection.
